At the beginning of the fifteenth century, the third Ming Emperor – Yong Le – has created one of the most dazzling architectural masterpieces in the world – The Forbidden City. It is considered as the best-preserved imperial palace in China, the largest ancient palatial structure in the world, and the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment.
This tour starts from the South Gate of the Forbidden City – The Meridian Gate. I have Beijing University Bachelor Degree. I am originally from Xinjiang – the western part of China – famous for The Silk Road. Xinjiang is very remote China Province and when I was young, I couldn’t even dream about traveling. I remember, I has a dream that one day I can travel all around China... Today it came true.
